Application for the Academician Woo Talent Cultivation Scholarship 2026

To support the development of promising doctoral researchers, applications are now open for the Academician Woo Liuyuan Endowed Chair Professor Talent Cultivation Scholarship, in accordance with the official scholarship guidelines. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.


Applicant Eligibility:

  1. Applicants must be full-time PhD students in their second year or above at the College.

  2. Recipients must submit a written research progress report to Academician Woo Liuyuan at the end of each semester. Mentorship or interviews may be conducted via video or in person.

  3. The scholarship will be terminated immediately if the recipient withdraws, transfers, takes leave, is dismissed, engages in misconduct, stays abroad over one month, or fails to meet academic standards.

  4. Approved recipients will receive NT$10,000 per month, for up to one year, with a maximum of two awardees.

  5. For approved applicants, the scholarship is scheduled to be disbursed from February, Year 115 to January, Year 116. Applicants who are still receiving any scholarship during this period are not eligible to apply for this round.

  6. Approved recipients must also cooperate with the College in laboratory safety inspections.

  1. Schedule 1-Application Form (including Advisor’s Letter of Recommendation)

  1. Transcript from the Previous Semester

  2. Research Proposal

  3. Additional Supporting Documents (e.g., accepted papers, conference presentations, awards)

  4. A 3-Minute English Video Presentation (Self-Introduction)
