1. Scientific Writing as ArgumentFrom the Scientific Method to IMRaD, Rhetorical Moves, and Clear Sentences
This workshop introduces strategies for developing clear and persuasive scientific writing, including the logic of IMRaD, rhetorical moves in research papers, and practical sentence patterns for establishing research gaps, describing methods, reporting results, and explaining significance.
2. AI-Assisted Research and Academic PresentationsFinding Evidence, Building Arguments, and Presenting Research Clearly
Participants will explore practical AI-assisted research workflows for literature discovery, analysis, synthesis, and academic reasoning. The workshop will also cover how to develop clear and persuasive academic presentations, including slide design, openings and conclusions, rehearsal, and AI-assisted preparation for audience questions.
